Welcome to Lincolnton

The low-key, hidden gem city with a vivacious community spirit, ample breathing room, and an active population.

Pressed against the scenic waters of South Fork Catawba River, the effortlessly charming city of Lincolnton is a bucolic haven that conveniently rests between the dynamic energy of Charlotte and the resplendent backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Gently rolling hills and miles of farmland add to the city’s agrarian appeal, balanced by a culturally rich Downtown district and thriving arts scene.

First occupied by its indigenous peoples, the area of Lincolnton wasn’t settled by Europeans until after the Revolutionary War. The town’s history is also significant for its role in the American Civil War, during which many of its residents served as soldiers. This colorful past is denoted by the city’s abundance of historic architecture, much of which can be seen Downtown.

The residential real estate market of Lincolnton is brimming with single-family houses up for purchase at incredible prices. Often the most-coveted among these are spacious historic homes tucked near Main Street and around the town’s commercial core, steeped in stately charm and outfitted with modern luxury accouterments. There are also plenty of large lots available for those looking to build their own perfect abode on swaths of unspoiled land.
